Week of Rejection

This week we contacted 96 people and were almost always rejected. Seven people said they would listen but one gave a false address. We had a baptism Saturday –  what a fiasco: 2pm waited 30 minutes for Lupita and Eibi and then 1.5 hours for witnesses. There was literally no one who could come and watch so we called the zone leaders and they were super far and eating but they hurried over as quick as they could so it worked out and it was super special! This always happens whenever the members say will take care of it. Last time I trust them :P hehe. They try their best and they have very little priesthood and every one of them works.

The week began with Monday as usual we had an appointment with a recent convert and her sister and we talked about missionary work and how Fernando should think about serving a mission. He is super prepared.  He doesn't think so but he knows more of the bible than I do and you can read the Book of Mormon super fast and be totally ready with Preach my Gospel.  So were going to give him that and invite him to the mission prep classes. I loved mission prep! If you can go, go it doesn't matter it’s an awesome class!

We explored a new area we have called Tinaco and its soooo small and so we literally could only find one person to talk to. We helped her with her bags and baby tree and then taught her a lesson.  She has had a rough life but I know Heavenly Father is preparing her to find the true and restored gospel. Then we had a super awesome meeting with Lupita and we were able to help her a lot with some personal problems. I can’t remember the rest of that day it was kind of a long day. We had a super special family home evening with a recent convert named Isaura. She lived in Las Vegas where she was converted and baptized and she just moved back to Mexico. We are super lucky to have her and the weird thing is I had a dream about her before I met her; weird!

We found an old investigator like super old 4 years or more. She is super smart and understood the message and when we came back she had actually read and we reminded her about baptism and going to church and I could see her desire had grown. That’s the power of the Book of Mormon and prayer but this Sunday she couldn't go to church. I don’t want to lose hope but she started school so well see if this is her time.

There were super funny stuff and crazy stuff this week but honestly you’d have to read my journal because I can’t remember a fraction. I love you all! Can’t wait for the success and miracles this week. 2 Nephi 31: 20 is my scripture this week! Strengthen your testimony every day.

Lots of Love,

Hermana Mleynek

Oh how lovely was the morning.... haha yeah Hna Lupita was glowing and walking on clouds a little bit nervous but we said a prayer with her and she entered the clear and beautiful waters of baptism with a heart full of song! She told us how happy she was! Her testimony is super strong and now she just needs to endure to the end! I am so proud of her for being brave and strong and putting her family first and being receptive to the gospel. I know that it will and has made all the difference. Eibi her 8 year old son was absolutely giddy about his baptism he always says how he wants to follow Jesus Christ and how he wants to read the book of Mormon. His confirmation was super special because the first thing that came out the mouth of the brother giving him the blessing was that he will grow grace to grace like Jesucristo and have hunger for the scriptures. I know that priesthood blessings are blessings from God according to our faithfulness. I know this church is true and God loves us!
